Top 5 Favorite Palettes

A palette is definitely something I'll shell out my hard-earned dollars on above all other products. I just can't help it. All those pretty shadows lined up nicely, the endless look possibilities, and the ease. Oh the ease of having one palette that fits all my needs. I have quite a few palettes, but these five are my top favorites.

Let's start with the Urban Decay palettes. I own the original Naked palette as well as the Naked 3, both of which are my favorites. They really are worth the hype, but the price is just silly. They're creamy, pigmented, and have an amazing range of shades to make any look you could want. My biggest complaint is the fall out. I just can't seem to use these shadows without a little getting below my eyes or on my cheeks. Any tips would definitely be welcomed because if I can solve that problem, these would rise to serious holy grail status.

It's safe to say that the Stila in the Light Palette is my favorite palette of all time. Hands down. No competition. These shadows guys, as I've ranted many times before, are just divine. No fall out issues, great lasting power. Plus the price is nearly $20 less than Urban Decay on a normal day, but right now it's only $20. Get it now. Seriously.

TheBalm's NUDE 'tude palette is another not-so-talked-about palette that battles the Naked palettes for the second spot. Twelve gorgeous shades, but I usually stick with the pinks and purples in the palette. They're incredibly wearable and easy to blend. I also love how cheeky the palette itself is. The naked girls are just too fun.

Finally the LORAC Pro palette makes it to the top of most people's lists and it's the fifth on mine. The payoff of these shadows is insane but fallout can be a factor. These shadows are bold and long-lasting and the range of colors is great. You can really do a lot with this baby, but the palette itself gets annoyingly dirty (think NARS packaging). All can be overlooked because of just how awesome it is.

Although I have plenty of palettes in my collection I just know I won't be able to resist a great new release. What palettes are your favorites?

xoxo Kayla

  4. I have the Naked 2 and 3 but really want the original. I've also got my eye on the new Lorac Unzipped Gold but it's so hard to get hold of Lorac in the UK :( xo

  6. I love my Lorac pro palette. I don't get any fallout from the shadows. The formula of the shadows is amazing. I agree that the packaging does get dirty, but I don't mind too much. Really want to get the stila in the light palette and the original naked. Luckily urban decay is coming to Australia soon.

  7. theBALM is the only palette I haven't tried, I love the rest though! I may have to finally take the plunge and pick it up though. It's one of those palettes that I've been eyeballing for a while now but I've always managed to talk myself out of it. "Heather, you do not need another neutral eyeshadow palette in your life"... y'know how it goes!
