This Week's Most Loved #56

I got incredibly bored with my run-of-the-mill makeup routine this week and wanted to shake things up. So I pulled out other foundations, dug through my palettes, and tried to reach for a lipstick that wasn't MAC's "Syrup" every day.

I don't remember the last time I wore the Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum but this week I've been all about that life. It's a gel foundation which really seems to get along with my dry, uncomfortable winter skin. It's a smidgen too light for me, but I feel like I saw that about all foundations. The coverage is amazing and I really like how it feels on the skin. I forgot about this little gem and I'm glad it's back in my routine.

For lipstick I haven't ventured too far away from "Syrup" this week with bareMinerals Marvelous Moxie Lipstick in "Get Ready" (mine is a deluxe sample that came in an Ipsy). It's a bit darker than "Syrup," but still has that beloved mauve, pink thing going on. Plus it's minty which is always a nice bonus.

For eyes I've been giving the Maybelline the Nudes Palette another go in my makeup rotation. These are definitely not Stila or Urban Decay quality, but for the price this palette is top notch. The shades are pigmented, have a decent staying power, but do require a bit more in the blending department.

Although I've been doing some serious makeup mixing up these days, the Revlon Blush in "Wine Not" still seems to slip through the cracks. It's just so good. Pigmented, long lasting, and one gorgeous color. I only wish it filled the entire pan just so it would look even better.

What are your favorite products this week?

xoxo Kayla

  3. That blush looks so pretty, and the Bourjois foundation sounds right up my alley - the winter has made my skin so tight and uncomfortable!
