5 Products to Buy This Month

The winter blues are hitting me hard right now. When I'm feeling down I find myself itching to make a few new beauty purchases. Anyone else with me? Here are a few products  I recommend you pick up.

The Living Proof Perfect Hair Day 5-in-1 Styling Treatment took me 100% by surprise. When it comes to hair products I just don't believe they'll do anything for my hair, yet this did. It provides the perfect amount of styling grit, texture, and body to make my limp locks dance with happiness. Finally, a product that lives up to what it says on the tin. It's definitely a must try.

It took me a while to finally muster up the courage to give the Too Faced Melted Liquified Lipsticks a go (this is in the shade "Melted Fig") but it was love after first application. So pigmented, dries into a stain of sorts, and packs a lot of really good lasting power. The color range is improving too!

I mentioned this product recently in another post and it dawned on me that I haven't talked about it as much as I should. TheBalm's BalmShelter Tinted Moisturizer is one of those products you never hear that much about, yet it's a stunner. The perfect coverage for those I woke up like this makeup days where you want something to cover redness without looking like you tried to hard. It has a decent shade range (I use the shade "Light") and a little goes a long way. This tube will last you ages with how much product you get for a very decent price. There's a lot about it that I like more than the NARS Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizers and you need to give it a go.

If you're looking for a solid, affordable eye shadow base the NYX Eye Shadow Base is it. I use the shade "Skin Tone" to create the perfect canvas for applying shadows over top. It's creamy, blends like a dream, and enhances shadows like a pro. Worth the few pennies you'll spend on it, and more.

To be honest it took me a while to warm up to the Bobbi Brown Corrector, but I blame that to the fact that it was my first higher end beauty purchase. I was young, didn't really know what I was doing, and wasn't ready for the magic of this product. Now that I have (some) beauty chops, this under eye concealer is what I reach for on a daily basis. It's peachy tone helps to cancel out my dark circles in a way that looks natural. No caking, no weird patches. Just dab it on with your finger and you'll add five more hours of sleep to your face.

What products do you recommend to try this month?

xoxo Kayla

  3. Ooh I've really been wanting to try the Living Proof Perfect Hair Day. Right now I'm using the Prime Style Extender and I love it, but once it runs out I'm going to give the Perfect Hair Day a try!
