Three Step Skincare

I'm still struggling getting back on the skincare wagon. It's hard to get back into a routine once you've abandoned ship! To make things easier for stubborn ol' me I've cut down my skincare routine to just three simple steps. I know that there is more to a proper skincare routine than just these steps, but some skincare is better than no skincare!

The best way to take off a day's worth of makeup and clean my skin at the same time is Clinique's Take the Day Off Cleansing Balm ($28.50). It literally melts the makeup off my face and with some water lathers up really nicely. I follow up with The Body Shop's Vitamin E Hydrating Toner ($13) to help clear off the rest of the cleanser and makeup that may have been left behind. It's incredibly light and makes my skin feel amazing. The best toner I've tried hands down.

I'm all about Origins GinZing Energy-boosting Moisturizer ($26.50) for adding a crap load of moisture back into my skin. It's another incredibly light feeling product, smells amazing, and this tub has lasted me ages. No tight feeling skin after this baby, that's for sure.

I eventually want to work back up to a double cleansing routine with a serum, but right now I'm keeping it simple and getting used to taking care of my skin again.

What's your skincare routine?

xoxo Kayla

  1. I've heard so much about the Clinique take the day off balm, I really want to give it a try. My routine varies really, some days I'll double clean others I just can't be bothered but it tends to go clean, tone, serum and moisturise :)

  2. I try to keep my skincare very simple as I have very normal, rare to blemish skin and it really doesn't need all that product on it. I cleanse, moisturise and add eye cream then exfoliate etc only when needed.

  3. I really feel like my Take the Day Off is going to last FOREVER. I only use it to remove my eye makeup, but I use it everyday and I've barely made a dent! Love it!
