This Week's Most Loved #39

September is always the month that just seems to fly by for me. There's just something about the bustle of school being back in session and the weather changing that suddenly it's October and I haven't even blinked. There have been a couple of products I've gotten along well with this week and are worth sharing.

Up first is a product I've had for a while but has yet to grace the blog. The Urban Decay Naked Skin Beauty Balm ($14) and I haven't really gotten along since its purchase largely due to the smell. I just don't fancy the herbal minty smell. If I had my way the only makeup products with any scents or flavors at all would be MAC lipsticks. Once I get past the small this beauty balm is actually quite impressive. I have fairly dull and somewhat discolored skin and this really does a good job of smoothing everything out. I've been enjoying putting this on over my primer and calling it good on days when I'm not feeling a full base.

I'm back on a nail polish kick and rather than doing the logical thing and wearing a autumn color I pulled out Essie's "Splashes of Grenadine" ($8.50). I can't help it. I'm obsessed. It's the perfect pink with a smidgen of purple and I can't get enough of it.

Finally Maybelline's Color Tattoo Metal in "Barely Branded" ($6.99) has been my savior the past week. A quick wash of this on my lids and I look more awake, put together, and can get out the door in no time at all (I've been missing my alarm and waking up late!). This little pot is well loved and will be repurchased when I scrape the last white gold goodness from it.

This week also marks the launch of my stationery company Oh, Hello Stationery Co! It's been a long time in the making and I just wrote a full post (with a giveaway) about it yesterday. There's also currently a coupon code MBEAUTY10 for 10% off. I couldn't not mention the company in a favorites! I've been obsessed with this doughnut card since the early sketches. How cute is it?!?!

What products have you been loving this week?

xoxo Kayla

  1. I love the Maybelline Colour Tattoos so I can't believe I don't have 'Barely Branded', it's such a stunning shade!

  2. I haven't had the pleasure of seeing "Barely Branded" in the UK yet - it looks like a total 'me' shade, if I ever see it in stores I will be snapping up that baby. I fell in love with Splashes of Grenadine on YT'r EssieButton's nails - she rocked it so well that I'm about ready to go out and get it, even though the shade is so unlike anything I'd normally go for. Lovely post, so glad I've found your blog - and congratulations again on your new company! xx
