Fall Polish Picks

Although I've been on a nail polish hiatus of sorts these last few months, fall's approach has me eyeing up my stash for possible colors to put on my digits.

Starting from the left, Essie's "Mamba" ($8.50) doesn't scream fall, but after a summer of sun and getting a (slight) tan, this creamy pink will really pop. Essie's "Wrapped in Rubies" ($8.50) is a maroon red with gold glitter throughout and was a no brainer pick for this post. It looks like the apples I'll be picking from a nearby local orchard on our annual trip. China Glaze's "Starboard" ($4.95) is just bright enough to lean towards the summer polish spectrum, but I think it can still work it in the cooler months. Plus grass green isn't the most common of polish colors so you'll be sure to make a statement.

I don't know why, but I find myself wearing spring polishes like Zoya's "Odette" ($9) more in the fall. If I'm not feeling a bright punch of green or a darker shade like "Wrapped in Rubies," there's just something about this soft purple that makes me want it on my finger nails. On the complete opposite side of the spectrum is China Glaze's "Electrify" ($7.50). It's autumn leaves in a glittery bottle and goes well over "Wrapped in Rubies" or another reddy shade. It's quite thin so make sure you do a couple of coats to get as much glitter as you can packed on each finger.

Finally I'm most likely to be wearing Essie's "For the Twill of It" ($8) more often than not this fall. From last year's fall collection, it's a beautifully complex blue grey polish that changes in the light. It's unique without being too much in your face. Definitely a must get.

What polishes are you going to bring out for fall?

xoxo Kayla
