Stila After Glow Lip Color

This post has been in my drafts for much too long. I'm still trying to get a handle on taking lip swatches and never seem to be happy with any of the photos so these types of posts keep getting pushed back behind other ones! Practice makes perfect though (plus I had help from Alex this time)! I also couldn't help myself and included one of the random shots he took of me regardless of the fact that I'm makeup-less apart from the lip swatch (it's one of those weeks).

I've had these Stila After Glow Lip Colors ($18) for quite a while now and they're some of the first lip crayons that converted me to the concept. "Party Pink" (left and top lip swatch) and "Festive Fushia" (right and bottom lip swatch) are very close to the same color, but "Party Pink" is much redder while "Festive Fushia" is more on the purple/pink side. These crayons are the perfect combination of moisturizing yet lasting (without drying out the lips). I like that they're bright, but not neon. They stand out on the lips but in a way that makes them very wearable. They also apparently glow under black lights although I've never tested out this claim.

Overall they're just solid, good lip crayons that don't get the attention that they deserve. They're currently on sale on the Stila website for $9 but "Festive Fushia" doesn't seem to be available. I'm interested in testing out this UV light aspect too. I'm always down to experiment with a good novelty product although it sometimes falls flat (I'm looking at you Revlon Parfumerie nail polishes).

Have you tried these lip crayons before?

xoxo Kayla
