New Bits

I realize I just posted a drugstore haul quite recently, but when you're on a roll you're on a roll! I was purchasing a few bits and bobs for a gift and just couldn't show some restraint. I've been wanting to get the Maybelline Eye Studio Color Tattoo Metal Eye Shadow in "Inked in Pink" ($6.99) for quite a while and just hadn't sealed the deal yet. Silly me picked the one with the off-center label! It's not as heavily pigmented as the other color tattoos, but it'll make for a great base for more rosy colored eye shadow looks! The Almay Smart Shade Perfect Correct Primer ($12.99) caught my eye as I was browsing the aisles. I've been wanting to try the Stila One Step Correct Primer for a while now, but being three times more than the Almay offering I thought I'd give it a go instead to see what it's like. After a few testing pumps it seems to be fairly watery and separated, but I haven't given it a full go just yet. Who knows, it may end up driving me into the arms of the Stila one.

Have you picked up anything recently?

xoxo Kayla

  1. When I saw the photo I was going to say that the Almay primer looks a lot like the Stila one, I've been lusting after it too x

  4. I picked up that color tattoo recently too. It works great with the Naked 3 or other similar palettes...or on its own. Beautifulll!

  6. I've used the Almay primer. I found it okay but the one thing I hated about it is it smelt like plastic, maybe it was just my bottle but ugh not a fan!!
Let me know how you find it.
