October Non-Beauty Favorites

Owl Mug $5: Walmart
Wooden Skeleton: Gift from New Orleans

I thought I would start posting about my non-beauty favorites on here as well seeing as I've started making monthly videos about them (watch October's Non-Beauty Favorites video here). This past month was low on beauty favorites, but I had a lot of non-beauty ones to share! The first thing I've really been loving is tea. With it getting colder and colder I find myself gravitating towards those warm beverages. My favorite blend right now is Teavana's Samurai Chai Matte mixed with Teavana's Maharaja Chai Oolong. It's a wonderful nutty blend and is stronger than most teas in flavor which is what I prefer. I've been drinking out of my festive Halloween owl mug that I picked up from Walmart in the seasonal section.

I've been burning a lot of Bath and Body Works' Cider Donut Candle this month as it's just a nice, subtle blend of vanilla, sugar, and cinnamon. I wouldn't say it smells too much like cider donuts, but it's still an amazing scent regardless. Autumn is my favorite time of the year and I can't help but crave decorating my apartment. This year was the first year I really went all out and I even made a post about the decorations I picked up. My boyfriend Alex went to a newspaper conference in New Orleans and brought me back this fantastic wooden skeleton that made a great addition to my little decoration collection.

During October I took a trip to Chicago (yes, the one with all the shopping) for the "Allegiant" by Veronica Roth book signing. It was my first ever signing and it was an awesome experience apart from the really long wait to get my book signed. There was a Q&A during the event which I really enjoyed.

Finally, Cards Against Humanity was added to our game collection this month and we've been playing it quite a lot. It's very much like Apples to Apples, but all the cards are inappropriate, rude, and offensive. It's a great game to play with a bunch of friends just as long as no one gets offended easily!

What kinds of non-beauty favorites were you loving in the month of October?

xoxo Kayla
